For emergencies, preparing for hyperinflation and rising food costs or simply when there is little time to fix a meal, meals in a jar have a lot to offer.

These meals in a jar by Chef Tess have a shelf life of  7 – 10 years using dehydrated and freeze dried ingredients.  Just add water and heat.  A one quart Mason jar will feed a family of four.  Many more recipes can be found on Youtube and other places.  Just search for “meals in a jar“.
